Emma 2020 – Teaser 1 – Anya Taylor-Joy

Emma 2020 Emma 2020 (as I’ll call it to differentiate from previous incarnations, and for SEO purposes) is a new version of Jane Austen’s beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending, is reimagined in this.

Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse (Anya Taylor-Joy) is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

For me, watching this trailer (and any trailer for the film that’ll come), it really isn’t my bag whatsoever.

Emma 2020 is released in the UK on February 14th 2020, so on the one hand it could be seen as in the Jan/Feb dumpster slot for terrible films, or alternatively, they could be going for Valentine’s Day. YMMV.
