F1 2000:Another year, another Formula 1 licence. As you’d expect it contains all thecars featuring photo-realistic liveries and the ability to tune up anyindividual part, all the tracks to drive about on and the real drivers’ namesfrom the Official 2000 FIA World Championship. Your race engineer will commenton your performance throughout – although I heard plenty of “No, keep yourcar on the track!” – and there’s pre- and post-match commentary from ITV Sportcommentator Jim Rosenthal.

game picThe graphics are everything you’d expect them to be with a nice addition ofuser-definable camera views be they in-car, trackside or “swing cam”.For a great bit of fun try driving the wrong way round the track and thenwitness the carnage. Soundwise, the dialogue is clear and the cars ‘brum brum’along but it’s nothing spectacular. The handling of the car is very good andgiven enough practice I’ll be able to get round the track without spinningoff once!

    game picOverall

That said, there’s not a great deal that’s new here, so one to consider mainlyif you need updated statistics.
