Husbands In Action is a new Netflix South Korean action/comedy which is rather too silly for its own good, giving us the crazy premise that cop Hwang Choong-sik’s (Jin Seon-kyu – Bargain) ex-wife, Si-nae (Kang Han-na), has remarried another man, Lee Min-seok (Gong Myoung), who’s 12 years younger.
Naturally, they hate each other, but once she and her daughter are soon kidnapped, the mismatched pair have to cook up a silly plan to rescue them both.
Cirumstances lead the rest of the stupid cops to see the pair on CCTV and presume that the new husband is a drug lord that they’re after, whilst the baddies also want Hwang to extract a bad guy out of jail, in order to resolve things.
On the plus side, Husbands In Action features some stunning women, including Lee Da-hee as Hye Ran – the main female baddie, and Lee is a doctor who can drift his car like there’s no tomorrow… like I’m trying to do in Forza Horizon 6, but as for a film, this is absolutely dire. It’s not funny, it rambles on way too long at nearly two hours, and the script is mostly shouting.
And at no point in reality, would the Hwang ever consider his daughter to also be thought of as the Lee’s daughter. It’s all a complete nonsense.

Husbands In Action is on Netflix from Friday, but isn’t yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. However, once announced, it will appear on the New DVD Blu-ray 3D and 4K releases UK list.
