I’m A Virgo – The DVDfever Review – Amazon Prime Video – Jharrel Jerome

I'm A Virgo

I’m A Virgo sees LaFrancine (Carmen EjogoFantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) giving birth to a massive baby, who grows into 13ft-tall Cootie (Jharrel JeromeSpider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse).

Following a very bizarre TV interview with the one and only Walton Goggins as the strangely-named Hero, you see our lead grow from a young baby into a very tall man, but now, at the age of 19, it’s time to explore the outside world. People are going to notice when you’re that tall, so, it should be easy to find a disguise, right? Erm…

After meeting some friends, and wondering whether to hea dout with them, Cootie declares, “I’m a Virgo… and Virgos love adventure”, hence the title, which includes precariously sitting on a car that’s spinning donuts in a car park.

Meanwhile, they say there’s someone for everyone, but can he find love with Bing Bang Burger girl Flora (Olivia Washington)? Either way, the CGI is a bit hit-and-miss when it comes to mixing Cootie in with the regular-sized environment.

I’ve only had chance to watch two episodes of this, so far, but I will try a third, even if it does have a ridiculous premise.

Oh, and if you haven’t American Ultra, Walton Goggings does the most amazing turn as Laugher.

I’m A Virgo is on Prime Video from Friday June 23rd. All seven episodes are available on day one.
