Inferno sees Tom Hanks return in the third and final part of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code trilogy, following The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.
When famous symbologist Robert Langdon (Hanks) wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones – The Theory of Everything) – a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories – and together they must race across Europe against the clock to foil a deadly global plot, going on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself.
Directed by Ron Howard, who works with Hanks on the previous two Dan Brown movies, as well as Apollo 13 and Splash, the film also stars Ben Foster (The Program), Irrfan Khan (Jurassic World), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut) and Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen, The Duke of Burgundy), I haven’t seen the first two movies so am unlikely to watch this.
Inferno is released in the UK on October 14th.
