Kate Russell is the stunning host of the Webscape slot on BBC’s technology show, Click, as well as being an accomplished journalist and writer.
Her latest venture is to host the Digital Leaders TV show, from home via Google Hangouts. It’s a business-focused discussion show made in partnership with Digital Leaders and the first episode tackled the “Internet of Things“, i.e. how it will impact business leaders in the digital sector, and answering questions such as, if Kate was to buy an internet-connected device, who owns the data it produces?
Kate’s guests were Nick Appleyard – Head of Digital at Innovate UK, Martin Wright – Product & Services Development Executive at Cirrus Communication Systems Ltd, and Ewan Dalton – Business Strategist at Microsoft, who all tuned in through webcams for the live hangout.
Future episodes will air on Google Hangouts via their Youtube channel from 5pm on the second Tuesday of every month, as well as being uploaded there to be watched afterwards, and the topic on November 11th will address the issue of how we address the gender gap in the tech sector.
You can read more about the venture on Kate’s website.
Then buy her new novel, “Mostly Harmless“, an Elite: Dangerous novel, here.
