Lemmings FREE! Now on PC!

Lemmings FREE Lemmings FREE!

As I post this, there’s still a couple of hours still to claim Hitman Absolution, but now, completely out of the blue, thanks to Guru Larry, aka Larry Bundy, for the heads-up that you can get Lemmings free on PC on the Microsoft Store.

Synopsis: Lemmings is a puzzle-platformer video game originally developed for the Amiga by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis in 1991.

The basic objective of the game is to guide a group of humanoid lemmings through a number of obstacles to a designated exit. In order to save the required number of lemmings to win, one must determine how to assign a limited number of eight different skills to specific lemmings that allow the selected lemming to alter the landscape, to affect the behavior of other lemmings, or to clear obstacles in order to create a safe passage for the rest of the lemmings.

This version for Windows 8 has a rebuilt game engine and some new graphic elements, but the focus has been to preserve the look and feel from the original version(s).

So, how to claim this game for free?

First up, go to the Microsoft Store, click ‘Get’ (during which you’ll be asked to log into the Microsoft Store if you’re not already), and it installs!

However, read the reviews, because some recent ones are saying it’s a big of a buggy mess, so it’s down to you whether you claim this game.

There’s no expiry date/time yet known for this freebie.
