My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of PAW PATROL: THE DINO MOVIE!

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is the third theatrical outing for the progressive pups, and I’d LOVE to know who’s funding them, because when I’ve played the games, one mission involved erecting street signs by changing over to Skye’s pup, going up in her helicopter, using her sky hook to clasp the fallen signage, then manouevering over the original hole in the road to reposition the sign… even though it would still need a workman to affix it properly.

JUST WHO THE HELL THINKS THIS MAKES GOOD FINANCIAL SENSE!!!!

Still, because it’s 2026, there’s a mixed-race family in need of help. Somehow, their boat catches fire, but the Pups are on hand – quicker than Superman – to put it out and rescue the people, even though since the boat is on water, may as well have just let it sink and let the sea do the same thing.

While later enjoying life on the ocean waves, the Paw Patrol crew somehow crash into an uncharted island, full of dinosaurs… and for inclusivity reasons, there’s also a paraplegic dog called Rex (T-Rex?) who requires wheels attached to him in order to get around. Still, in his weakened condition, he’s learned to live on the right side of the dinos.

Rather than keep schtum on the discovery, the Paw Patrol tell EVERYONE! Muggy boneheads!

As such, a ton of scientists turn up, including lesbian couple Eugenia (Fortune FeimsterThe Hawk) and Heidi Pothesis (Jameela JamilElio 3D) – yes, Hei-Pothesis. The thrall includes Mayor Humdinger (Ron Pardo), who’s newly-released from jail – but never mind the fact that he can’t STILL be mayor, having been in the clink, and he hot-foots it to Dino Island to steal a zillion diamonds, almost killing a Brachiosaurus in the process.

In fact, the action of trying to steal the diamonds almost kills everyone else in the process, as he embeds the dynamite into a volcano. Bit of a schoolboy error there, fella.

Whereas Skye (Mckenna GraceScream 7) was the main character in 2023’s Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, for Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, it’s Marshall (Carter Young), because of his can-do attitude, always willing to try. He also befriends a baby dinosaur along the way. Yes, it’s probably because of that.

No doubt, 2029 will bring us Paw Patrol: The Space Excursion. They’ll take Piers Morgan beyond the infinite, and then take his helmet off. Ah, that’s better.

Okay, so I’m not the target audience for this, but at least it was only 88 minutes in length, and I do enjoy the videogames. There were a number of members of the intended target audience, though, and they certainly enjoyed the film more.

NOTE: There are no mid- nor post-credits scenes, but the first part of the credits features animation that’s worth staying for. Once that’s done and the crawl credits begin, you can make a move.

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is in cinemas now, but isn’t yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. However, once announced, it will appear on the New DVD Blu-ray 3D and 4K releases UK list.
