On 1st June 2009, Network will release drama series FOREVER GREEN THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES (PG) on DVD. Starring Please, Sirs John Alderton alongside his real life wife and BAFTA award-winning actress Pauline Collins (Shirley Valentine); this Network release contains the entire first series complete and uncut, RRP £19.99.
Jack and Harriet Boult are a couple who struggle to cope with the pressures of life in London; with their daughter, Freddie, suffering badly from asthma and serious allergies aggravated by the environmental condition in London, a change of location is looking more and more desirable to the harassed couple. A lucky and unexpected inheritance makes Harriets dream of moving to the country a possibility and the family soon find themselves relocating to rural Gloucestershire. But will the initial impression of an idyllic life pan out as it promises?
This ITV drama was a ratings winner for the channel, and would run from 1989 to 1992. It is also an original in the sense that, it is the first mainstream programme to tackle environmental issues before it became trendy to be green.
The DVD is out on June 1st, it runs for 300 minutes and retails for £19.99 on DVD,but is currently on Amazon at the link above for £12.98.
