Combining the comedy of ‘American Pie’ and the frights of ‘Scream’, ‘CherryFalls’ is a comic teen thriller and a very scary movie. From the directorof ‘Romper Stomper’, ‘Cherry Falls’ is set for DVD release by Entertainment InVideo on 19th February 2001, simultaneously with the rental video release.

The DVD will include special features comprising interviews and a b-roll.The DVD will contain 16 chapters and comes with Dolby surround sound 5.1 andhas an anamorphic ratio of 16.9.


‘Cherry Falls’ features a dynamic ensemble cast, including Brittany Murphy(‘Clueless’, Girl, Interrupted’, ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ and ‘Trixie’),Michael Biehn (‘The Terminator’, ‘Aliens’ and ‘The Abyss’) andJay Mohr (‘Go’, ‘Small Soldiers’, ‘Playing By Heart and ‘Jerry Maguire’).

Cherry Falls is a quiet town – until the night that a serial killer beginspreying on its youth. After a third teen is found slain, the killer’s modusoperandi emerges: the victims were all teenage virgin from the local highschool. Sheriff Marsten (Michael Biehn) is concerned for the safety of theteens in general and in particular his own daughter Jody (Brittany Murphy) whois still a virgin.

Once the students realise that to save their skins they’re going to have tolose their virginity a ‘meet and mate’ party takes shape. Jody finds herselfat the centre of the mystery and the, and as the students ‘Pop Your Cherry’ball gets going off campus Jodi decides to take matters into her own hands.

She launches her own investigation into the killer’s identity and stumblesupon a web of dark secrets spun around the killings, that have been longhidden and involve local people who she knows and thought she could trust. Shesoon realises that she is the killer’s number one target.


‘Cherry Falls’ (catalogue no EDV 9059) has a feature running time of 92minutes, a ’18’ certificate and will be available to buy on DVD priced £19.99from 19th February 2001.
