Replicas centres around daring synthetic biologist Will Foster (Keanu Reeves, right, at an event where he answered questions about the movie) who, after a car accident kills his family, will stop at nothing to bring them back, even if it means pitting himself against a government-controlled laboratory, a police task force and the physical laws of science.
In this reasonably enjoyable hokum (such that it looks from the trailer), one colleague asks about his experiment, “What if something goes wrong?”, to which comes Keanu’s low-key reply, “Something already has!”
Well, something did as they hired Alice Eve as his wife, Mona, and she can’t act to save her life!
Replicas doesn’t yet have a release date anywhere, but I will check this out as I like the premise.
