When you’re, with Ed Snowden, have a gabber-gabber-do-time, a gabber-do-time, you’ll spill all their se-crets! #
(That was to the tune of The Flintstones, and yes, the penultimate line doesn’t really scan)
Seriously, if you haven’t heard of Edward Snowden, then you’ve had your head under a rock for two years, as he spilled the beans to journos in May 2013, and then was amazed when the US government threw the book at him a month later, since you don’t go pising in a pool when you’re fresh out of chlorine.
Snowden, himself, is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, with a cast that includes Shailene Woodley, Scott Eastwood, Nicolas Cage, Timothy Olyphant, Zachary Quinto, Melissa Leo, Joely Richardson, Rhys Ifans and Tom Wilkinson.
Snowden is released in the US on December 25th, which seems an odd choice for a Christmas Day film, but doesn’t yet have a UK date. Expect the new year.
