Spiral is a forthcoming movie which shows that what we don’t need on our screens is another Chris Rock movie, but hey ho, here it comes anyway – it’s the other certainty in life, alongside death and taxes.
It’s described as “a re-imagining of the horror film ‘Saw’“, so just imagine a hack-and-slash movie with The Fifth Element‘s Ruby Rhod screeching his way through…. okay, so that’s Chris Tucker, but whether it’s Tucker, Rock or Kevin Hart, they’re all interchangeable like the outcome of a revolving door, and similarly best avoided.
And in the above picture, Sgt Rock looks like he’s got a bad case of tummy trouble! 😀
Also, Samuel L Jackson proves how hard up his is these days by turning up and using his trademark MF fruity language.
I will say that I’ve never seen a Saw film… yes, I never saw Saw, but… I did see Jigsaw and enjoyed that. Why aren’t we getting more of that? It only cost $10m to make and has more than made enough to secure a sequel, so where is it?
Spiral is released in the UK on May 15th.
