My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of STRAIGHT TO HELL on NETFLIX!

Straight To Hell Straight To Hell is so-called because it centres around (Erika Toda), once the most famous fortune teller in Japan, a ‘career’ that should really be ignored because it’s just made-up nonsense.

She’s very insulting, and if you ignore her advice, “You’re going straight to hell”, yet as a child she’s told not to con people, and that people who do bad things go… straight to… yes, you guessed it. But is she a con-woman?

In the present day, journalist Minori Uozumi (Sairi ItôSuzume) narrates as she wants to interview her, with things not getting off to a great start, since it’s a custom to accept someone’s business card with both hands in Japan… so the snooty Kazuko ignores her.

And I doubt the early newspaper headline we first saw was directly translated as “Over 30,000 suicides, seven years in a row”, because they don’t like bad news over there, and refer to them as “human accidents”.

And, surely, the best fortune teller is astrologist Russell Grant?

This drama tells us how her home city of Tokyo was destroyed in World War II, but started to be rebuilt in the next 10 years, as it begins a long and drawn out tale of her life, and not one that’s particularly interesting.

Thanks to our friends at Netflix for the screener prior to release.

Straight To Hell is on Netflix from today.

It’s not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD, but when it is, it will be listed on the New DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K releases UK page.
