Suicide Squad is a film I hugely enjoyed at the cinema, far more than Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but while I didn’t have any desire to sit for much longer in the cinema than the 123-minute running time, I felt like there was scope for an extended version, especially given that the trailer featured some scenes from The Joker (Jared Leto) which weren’t in the movie.
And, lo and behold, of zero surprise to no-one, comes that extended version. It will run for approximately 136 minutes – so not a huge amount of extra footage – and you can see the teaser below. Interesting to note that there were around 6 or 7 cuts of this film doing the rounds at Warner Bros befoe they finally settled on one of them.
Suicide Squad Extended Cut is released on Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray (and DVD – although that’ll be the regular version) on December 5th.
