Tallulah is the character portrayed by Ellen Page, ripped off by her boyfriend, she then tracks his mother, a dissatisfied Beverly Hills housewife – Margo (Allison Janney), who is conned into thinking the kidnapped child Tallulah is holding is that of her son. Meanwhile, desperate to be rid of own child, she hires the titular young woman to babysit and ends up getting much more than she bargained for.
Written and directed by Sian Heder (writer and script editor for Orange Is The New Black), and also starring Zachary Quinto, Evan Jonigkeit, Tammy Blanchard and David Zayas, I do like the look of this and am interested to see where it goes.
Tallulah is released on July 29th in the US but as of yet, there’s no UK date. I hope we don’t have too long to wait. Then again, it’s Netflix, so it could possibly be the same date.
