Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – “9/11 poster” pulled

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboots the franchise last seen on the big screen in a trilogy which began in 1990. Back then, April O’Neil was played by Paige Turco, but these days, they go for Megan Fox. She can’t act her way out of a paper bag, but then neither could Paige, really.

I actually paid good money to go and see the sequel, “Secret of the Ooze“, in the cinema, but at least it featured David Warner amongst the cast. I doubt the third film troubled such auditoriums…

However, what is troubling the studio is that while the UK won’t see it until October 17th, it’s due out in the Australia on September 11th. Can you tell what’s wrong with this picture?

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also stars Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, William Fichtner, Jeremy Howard, Danny Woodburn, Will Arnett, Pete Ploszek and Whoopi Goldberg and is due out in the UK on October 17th.
