The Banker is based on the true story of two African American entrepreneurs – Joe Morris (Samuel L Jackson – Avengers: Endgame) and Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie – Black Mirror: Striking Vipers and also all those Avengers movies) – who, during the 1950s, hired working-class white man Matt Steiner (Nicholas Hoult – X-Men: Dark Phoenix) to pretend to be the head of their business empire while they posed as a janitor and chauffeur.
I’m sure this looked good on paper with Marvel’s SLJ and Falcon, but to me, this film looks boring as hell.
The Banker is released on December 6th in the US, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
Director: George Nolfi
Stars: Samuel L Jackson, Nia Long, Nicholas Hoult, Jessie T Usher, Colm Meaney, Paul Ben-Victor, Gregory Alan Williams
