The Family Fang seems to start off as an interesting comedy, but then soon ended up as a mediocre drama, based on this trailer, so I’m not sure what to make of it.
Brother and sister Baxter and Annie Fang (Jason Bateman and Nicole Kidman) return to their family home in search of their world famous parents, Caleb and Camille (Christopher Walken and Maryann Plunkett), who have disappeared…
Jason Bateman also directs, while the screenplay is from David Lindsay-Abaire, based on the novel by Kevin Wilson, and the film also stars Kathryn Hahn and Marin Ireland. However, I’m not sold on this trailer. It looks like the kind of thing you’d expect more from Wes Anderson (The Great Budapest Hotel) and he’d do it a hell of a lot better.
The Family Fang is released in the US on April 29th, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
