UK Top 100 Music chart summary & my views: w/e December 7th 2013

Going straight in at No.1 in the UK Top 100 Music Chart summary is Calvin Harris & Alesso Feat. Hurts with Under Control, and you’ve heard it all before. Its only real saving grace is that Hurts are a band which should be heard more often.

As such, Lily Allen‘s drippy Keane cover of Somewhere Only We Know drops to No.4.

The rest of the top 10 is made up with McFly‘s tedious Love Is On The Radio at No.6 and Breach Feat. Andreya Triana at No.9 with Everything You Never Had (We Had It All), which must be the dullest ‘dance track’ ever made.

Oh, and if you want a JLS update, Billion Lights drops from No.19 to No.70, while their album drops from No.6 to No.17. However, Boyzone fare slightly better, as their recent single, Love Will Save The Day, only drops from No.39 to No.46.
