UK Top 100 Music chart summary & my views w/e February 14th 2015

February 14th 2015Ellie Goulding goes straight in at No.1, in the UK Top 100 Music Chart w/e February 14th 2015, with Love Me Like You Do, taken from this Friday’s big cinema release, Fifty Shades of Grey, and it’s a drippy power ballad without any real power.

Thankfully, therefore, this means Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars are knocked down to No.2 with Uptown Funk.

There’s just one new entry in the Top 10: a No.8 for Mike Mago and Dragonette with Outlines.

In lieu of any decent new entries in the charts this week, I’ll look ahead to the new releases, the best of which is Bipolar Sunshine with Daydreamer, a track which has featured on a recent BBC1 promo showing lots of new shows for 2015. It’s the one starting with Tom Jones on The Voice, waiting for an act to start:
