BBW is the first episode in the second series of Channel 4’s On The Edge series, and centres around a young woman called Remi (Juliet Okotie, above-centre) who goes about her day overeating, whilst looking for work, but it’s depressing pounding the streets, trying to find something, resulting in applying for a job with rather less money than she expected.
Remi goes on a night out with her friends – during which she always attracts men who are too old for her, and along the way she’s struggling to reconnect with her estranged father.
This episode is interesting, but a bit all over the place, for example when it comes to a man she meets who talks about attending a party with BBW models, but she can’t go along with them? I didn’t get that. If you watch that, please let me know if you can make head nor tail of this.
BBW is broadcast on Monday March 16th on Channel 4 at 10pm. The series is not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD.
After broadcast, the series will be on All 4.
