Camp X-Ray stars Kristen Stewart as Pvt. Amy Cole, a young soldier who escapes her suffocating small town by joining the military, only to find that she isn’t going for a tour of duty in Iraq as she hoped. Instead, she’s sent to Guantanamo.
Met with hatred and abuse from the Muslim men in her charge, she forges an odd friendship with a young man who has been imprisoned at Gitmo for eight years, namely detainee Ali Amir (Payman Maadi).
Camp X-Ray also stars John Carroll Lynch, Tara Holt, Lane Garrison and Julia Duffy, and looks a bit too improbable for my liking, but for those who want to see it, there’s a US release date of October 17th, but no UK date yet.
