January 9th:

Captain Marvel now has a third trailer… I mean, Special Look, and it mixes together some new footage in with what we’ve already seen.

Captain Marvel still has a release date of March 8th, although as that’s a Friday, I expect, as it’s a Marvel film, it’ll come forward by a couple of days.

Check out new the trailer below.

Captain Marvel
December 4th:

Captain Marvel has a second trailer, and as well as all the overblown and tedious ‘action’ which we’ve seen countless times before, it opens with a moment for which I think the BBFC will have a problem: Brie Larson, in the title role, punches an old woman in the face, and then slams her into a tram’s metal pole.

Yes, the inference is that she’s not just a dear, sweet old lady, but an alien who needs dealing with…. but I doubt that’ll cut the mustard with the BBFC as they won’t want feral teenagers copying it in real life, and I wouldn’t be surprised that, if include in the final film, it could be a 15-certificate.

Check out new the trailer below.

September 18th:

Captain Marvel is, for some, one of the most eagerly awaited films after Avengers: Infinity War, given that it will follow on directly from the – possibly universe-changing – ending that it had… unless someone hits a big red reset button, like Doctor Who often does.

As anyone who reads my reviews know, I’m getting tired of superhero movies in general, and Infinity War was an overlong crash/bash/smash mess, but following The Avengers‘ answer to Hamlet, we’re told Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Either way, oh, this trailer bored me senseless! I don’t need another origin movie. I’ll go and see the April as-yet-untitled Avengers movie, but I’ll skip this.

Captain Marvel has been brought forward in the UK to March 8th 2019.
