Once Upon A Deadpool takes all the excellence of Deadpool 2, attempts to tame it down for a 12-certificate (boooo!), or PG-13 in the US, but then adds in vignettes featuring Fred Savage, aka Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years and The Princess Bride. Yaaaaaay!
Note, that these vignettes are relating to his performance in The Princess Bride, but while I’m not so familiar with that film, I was a massive fan of The Wonder Years, and couldn’t get enough of that show. Despite Kevin Arnold growing up 20 years in time before me, he went through every last one of the problems I encountered while being a teenager.
But, back to this ,and Ryan Reynolds said he’d never make a version which was suitable for children, so why has he? Because it’s for charity, and there’s more info about how this came about at The Playlist.
However, as for the certificate, I did say “attempts to tame…” as it’s also been confirmed by the BBFC that while it’s a PG-13 in the US, it’s still a 15-certificate in the UK, and will run for 117 minutes and 33 seconds, so down a bit from the theatrical cut of 119 minutes and 12 seconds, but obviously shorter than the extended “SUPER DUPER $@%!#& CUT” which is 128 minutes and 26 seconds.
Oh, and the poster, with the reindeer, clearly apes the earlier IMAX poster with the unicorn (see further down this page)
And it’s due out for Christmas, in the US on December 12th, but in the UK??? I must see this!!!

Deadpool 2 is out in UK cinemas next Tuesday, May 15th – albeit with the earliest screenings that day being 6pm, rather than first thing in the morning, which is an odd thing and something a lot of big films are doing, rather than having a midnight release or just going for a regular ‘all day’ run on their first day, but why does Deadpool need to apologise to David Beckham? Find out below what’s annoying the man with a silly voice and way too many tattoos.
As well as Josh Brolin in the film, the cast sees the return of Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, plus there’s Zazie Beetz as Domino, TJ Miller as Weasel, plus Eddie Marsan, Julian Dennison, Hayley Sales, Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapicic, Jack Kesy and Karan Soni.
Oh, and no doubt Stan Lee‘s in there, too.

Deadpool 2 has been rated a 15-certificate by BBFC. This was expected given the fact that the first movie was also a 15-cert, but given that the BBFC rated two of the trailers each as 12A, despite containing f-words, made some people think that the film might be too. However, this is NOT a film for kids. Plus, that initial film proved that you CAN have an adult superhero movie and it will make a ton of cash.
The film has a running time of 119 minutes and the BBFC’s full decision is as follows… and contains spoilers, hence the spoiler banner:

Deadpool 2 is less than a month away, as Ryan Reynolds (right) again takes the role of Wade Wilson, and you remember the other day when I said this would be the final trailer? (yes, you’ve heard the word ‘final’ again. REALLY?!), well, I wasn’t lying… maybe. However that turns out, what we do have that’s new is a delightful new IMAX poster which proves that unicorns are more possible than an Avengers movie ever having a running time of less than two hours ever again.
As mentioned before, despite this being a Marvel film, yet those characters with Fox being on a different contract, Deadpool throws a sleight at Marvel with Josh Brolin’s other big superhero character, from Avengers: Infinity War, “Pump the hate-brakes, Thanos!”
And TJ Miller adds, “It’s time to get back on LinkedIn!”. I still don’t understand the point of that site, but I know that’s the joke, here.
There’s also a BIG Logan spoiler in there, which I won’t name here, so if you haven’t seen it, be warned. Or just watch Logan first. If you haven’t watched Logan, you need a cold slap.

Deadpool 2 is coming… in three months time. Ryan Reynolds again takes the role of Wade Wilson.
Today sees the release of the first actual trailer, and there’s so much to enjoy in this new trailer – the team being called X-Force, the spoof of the the Spider-Man Homecoming scene where Tony Stark nearly gets shot in the face, but I particularly loved “From the studio who brought you 27 Dresses and The Devil Wears Prada”, since you couldn’t find two movies more UNrelated or more UNlike this one!
The apparent plot is as follows: After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, disfigured cafeteria chef Wade Wilson struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavour – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover. Hmm… really??
Deadpool 2 is released in the UK on May 16th and I can’t wait for this! I thought the first one suffered with the origin aspect, but it was great either side of that.

Here, is that teaser, and all in typical Deadpool style.

Oh, and no doubt Stan Lee‘s in there, too.
Interestingly, there’s a change in director from the first film’s Tim Miller to David Leitch, one of the directors of John Wick.
