Heat doesn’t have any signs of Al Pacino or Robert De Niro, but instead, Danny Dyer stars as Danny Dyer, taking a holiday in the outback at a friend’s very posh house with his family.
And as they take a tour, I’m immediately getting antsy, because everyone’s walking around inside with outdoor shows on!
But no sooner does it start, than Mr D (Cheat) clearly gets a phone call which he ignores, because it must be givin’ him the roight ‘ump! And when questioned about it by wife Sarah (Pia Miranda), he couldn’t be any more obvious that she don’t Adam & Eve it!
However, he’s got some fiduciary issues due to bad investments, and it’s all gone wrong. Stroike a loight!
Yes, Heat is yet another drama where when one character thinks they have secrets, others do too, and suddenly I wouldn’t be surprised if even the furniture starts bleating out that they have something to confess(!)
But as the opener came to a close, the fire was only just getting started, everyone’s stuck in one place, including Danny and his daughter’s boyfriend, Jet (Woo-ooh-o-oooh!) and they’ve all got a roight stop on!
Of course, since this drama will feature a bush fire, it gets a chance to pedal the fake news about ‘climate change’, depsite these always happening, and recent ones being as a result of arson, not summer being a bit warm, as ‘Just Stop Oil’ keep crying about. And when someone tells you that it’s “the hottest June ever”, remember that records only go back less than 200 years, whereas the Earth has been around 4.6 BILLION years.
Still, no doubt in later episodes, Danny Dyer will tell the fire to SHAT IT & DO ONE!
However, there’s a great track by Hollow Coves featured in this, entitled Coastline. I’ll link to it below.
PS. WARNING! At one point, Danny Dyer takes his top off! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
