Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the London terrorist attacks last night. So far, seven people have died and 48 others have injured. Let’s hope there’s no more loss of life. It was a ghastly tragedy, feeling like Grand Theft Auto in real life, in 3 places at once.
It set me thinking that we sell arms to Saudi Arabia and Libya, over the years. Some of these end up in the hands of ISIS, who then do what we know and hate them for.
Manchester bomber Salman Abedi had Libyan parents, and the whole thing links back on itself.
This is like one of those bizarre movie thrillers where we look for the bad guys and they turn out to be us.
Might be an idea if we just stopped selling weapons.
I do hope Theresa May doesn’t try and make political capital out of this like she did with Manchester, but no doubt, she will again.
Love, don’t hate.
And to that end, check out the One Love Manchester concert broadcasting on BBC1 tonight at 6.55pm, for those affected by the Manchester bomb attack on May 22nd. Those on the bill include Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Take That, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus, Usher, Pharrell Williams and, of course, Ariana Grande, who recently visited fans in hospital who were injured in the attack.
