Malpractice Series 2 opens with the harrassed Dr James Ford (Tom Hughes – The Game (2015)) on-call, but is being rushed into doing a mental health assessment on one patient where the police have had to be called, while being pulled in all directions and into assessing a female patient, who has recently given birth, and is struggling with handling everything, despite a loving husband on hand.
Neither situation goes particularly well, with speculation as to whether he’s mishandled one of them, given how things pan out, which I won’t post about here, (1) to avoid spoilers, (2) especially because at the time of posting, it hasn’t yet aired, and (3) There is no Number 3.
However, it’s certainly safe to say that Series 2 has a very strong opening, and similarly tense to the first series, with Niamh Algar’s Dr Lucinda Edwards up before the beak, so to speak and, similarly, is Tom also being set up for a fall by other doctors trying to absolve their part in events?
As you might expect, there’s largely a change in cast from the first series, aside from the two investigators – Dr. Norma Callahan (Helen Behan – Intruder) and Dr. George Adjei (Jordan Kouamé – Scoop) – but as for how it will go, there’s only one way to find out, and that’s by switching on your tellybox… or watching it online.
