Mary Poppins Returns was a big smash hit when she drifted down with her umbrella, just before Christmas, but with Disney owning Marvel Studios, and with all sorts of tie-ins going on, I can exclusively reveal that Emily Blunt will return as Mary Poppins, in Avengers: Endgame, as she helps the Avengers & co. battle Thanos and smack him into the next life, as he seemingly did to so many of the good guys and girls.
Obviously, we don’t know precisely who will survive and who won’t – apart from Spider-Man (Tom Holland) because we’ve already seen a trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, released in July,
But who will survive from the rest? Probably those who’ve asked for the smallest pay rise.
As for who I can reveal will DEFINITELY return… (spoiler ahead)
…And a quick spoiler for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2 – as she will resurrect Yondu, who was so glad he could align himself with Mary Poppins in that movie because he was a mega fan, thanks to Starlord confirming to him that they both shared a passion for flying about with the aid of a device that helped them fly about.
There’ll also be a point, halfway through, where Mary Poppins and Yondu, thanks to the miracle of love, will spawn a baby Yondu Poppins, who will be instrumental in the ways of defeating Thanos. Why? I cannot say…
Avengers: Endgame is released in UK cinemas on April 25th.
