Snooker player Paul Hunter loses his battle with cancer…

Last night, snooker player Paul Hunter lost his battle with cancer after firsthaving been diagnosed with dozens of neuro endocrine tumours on the liningof his stomach in March 2005.

I’m a big fan of snooker and I was really sorry to hear about this as I thoughthe was in remission and 27 is no age to die, particularly given that hisdaughter was only born on Boxing Day last year. He always came across as atop bloke on TV and put on a brave face at both World Snooker Championshipsin 2005 and 2006.

I know there’s a few snooker tournaments to come between now and WSC 2007but I bet there’ll be tributes aplenty at the latter.
