Nintendo Direct Mini July 2020 – Update: Recap.
The Direct Mini has been and gone, and below you can see the full Direct Mini below, along with my 2-minute summary!
Earlier: – What can we expect?
Maybe a Nintendo Switch Pro, after last year’s Nintendo Switch Lite? Probably not…
Well, the rumour mill abounds…
- @So_Ethereal on Twitter wants: Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, a new Mario, new plus Xenoblade 3, Metroid, Bravely Default, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, Smash Bros, Sonic, DOOM, Bayonetta, Tomb Raider and F-Zero. Just a few things, then…
@DJM_Dylan wants: a new Zelda, plus Mario Odyssey 2, Mario 64 REMAKE, not remaster, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remakes (300+ hours of content), Waluigi, DOOM Guy, and Minecraft Steve as Smash DLC, Mario Kart 9 (4k, ray-tracing), Reggie Fils-Amie comes back.
@ShineSpriteGmr wants Super Mario All-Stars 3D… good luck with that one.
@Kevin_Keyblade wants Sora from Kingdom Hearts in Super Smash Bros Melee.
@SuperiorArtemis wants Shin Megami Tensei V.
@milkymii325 wants a new Pokemon Snap release date, Detective Pikachu 2 and a third-party Crash Bandicoot 4 port
But, given that it’s just a 10-minute Mini, maybe it’ll just be about indie games, and so we shouldn’t get our hopes up.
The event begins at 3pm UK time, and will no doubt be on Nintendo’s Youtube channel, but in the meantime, there’s a video below for Unfolding Paper Mario: The Origami King, a Hands-On Discussion, from the Nintendo Power Podcast.
On 7/20 we'll debut the first #NintendoDirect Mini: Partner Showcase, a series focused on titles from our development & publishing partners. We'll share a few updates on a small group of previously-announced #NintendoSwitch games. Check out the full video release at 7am PT. pic.twitter.com/GbEbxVL6fD

– New Pokemon Snap release date
-Detective Pikachu 2
– Third Party: Crash 4 port
TBH, I’m not expecting much. It’s only 10 mins apparently, but these are some possibilities within the restrictions that were set.— Moderate333 (@milkymii325) July 20, 2020
Maaan don't get your hopes up. This year is a rough one. Just concentrate on indie stuff and don't get sad. Could be something nice in that direct. Just cause its first party doesn't mean its worth crying about. And if nothing bites your line there still a lot of games out there.
