Tesco Christmas Advert 2026 – Because this Christmas Every little helps: sees school friends Lizzie (Anna Maxwell Martin) and Polly (Roisin Conaty) reunite, when the latter delivers the Xmas shopping to the former, but… just like NOBODY would do, Lizzie’s ordered it to her old address.
Rather than just call Tesco, Lizzie tries to drive to her old address, somehow intercepts Polly in traffic, gets the shopping and THEN breaks down, requiring Polly to abandon her route and drive ALL the way to the NEW house. This wouldn’t happen, since (a) she has a schedule to keep to, and (b) Lizzie would need to call the AA/RAC/whoever to deal with her car, and THEY would give her a lift home, after getting the car to a garage.
Plus, Polly would’ve had a failed delivery, and would already have ticked the box on her machine to confirm this, so it’s already all going back to the shop, so even if Lizzie had caught up with Polly, Polly couldn’t just hand over the shopping at that point.
Oh, and Sting, and the rest of The Police, cheapen their band’s music with letting Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic get run over by this tripe.
