The Perfect Guy stars AVP: Alien vs Predator‘s heroine Sanaa Lathan as successful lobbyist Leah Vaughn who, after a painful breakup, jumps into a passionate relationship with a charming stranger (Michael Ealy – Underworld Awakening, Sleeper Cell). When her ex-boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) resurfaces in her life she has to figure out who she should trust and who she should fear.
Basically, ‘The Perfect Guy’ is anything but when the guy in the title is revealed to be a bit of a complete and utter bar-steward, as we get in the trailer, and it’s at that point when some decent actors find themselves in the middle of a terrible script, and as the poster shows, Ealy and Chestnut find themselves either side of Sanaa’s obvious ladybumps!
And someone else who once faced an alien is in this – Charles S Dutton – the bible basher who faced-off against an ugly spud in the underrated Alien 3.
The Perfect Guy is released in the UK on November 27th. I’m not in a rush to see it. However, if you’ve never seen the aforementioned Sleeper Cell before, I do urge you to check it out. It’s just a shame that it ended after two seasons when it clearly had a third one in it.
