UK Top 100 Music chart summary & my views w/e June 6th 2015

June 6th 2015Jason Derulo goes straight in at No.1 with Want To Want Me, in the UK Top 100 Music Chart w/e June 6th 2015, another slice of generic dance dirge from the man who sticks his name all over the song.

As such, OMI drops to No.2 with Cheerleader, and it’s a rather slow dance track with over-use of auto-tune. Terrible.

There is just one new entry in the Top 10: a No.9 for Martin Garrix feat. Usher with Don’t Look Down, and it’s a little bit better than both of the above, but not by much. So much tuneless dance junk around at the moment…

Just outside the Top 10, at No.11, is Måns Zelmerlöw with Heroes, this year’s Eurovision winner. Did brilliantly on the night, then let himself down spectacularly afterwards with a load of homophobic comments. Oh dear…

Russia were the runners-up, and their entry, Polina Gagarina with A Million Voices, goes in at No.97.

Highlight of this week goes to Roisin Murphy with Exploitation, a great new single out this week.
