When Sally Met Hellmann’s is the reuniting of When Harry Met Sally‘s stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan for the famous cafe scene where Sally pretends to have the big ‘O’ in front of Harry, in an attempt to prove a point. Once it’s all done, another customer – played by the late Estelle Reiner, mother of director Rob Reiner – chirps to a waiter, “I’ll have what she’s having(!)”
I saw this advert twice, while watching a few films at Odeon over the weekend, and while it did make me laugh, it was only on the second viewing that I realised the young woman responding with Estelle’s line was Sydney Sweeney, from last year’s terrible Immaculate, and not-much-better Madame Web.
Still, bad films aside – as well as the fact that “When Sally Met Hellmann’s” plays upon a film that’s 36 years old – this is certainly worth a watch.
