My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of WIDOW’S BAY on APPLE TV!

Widow's Bay Widow’s Bay is the place where a lot of weird stuff happens – first the TV and radio cut out, then all power follows, and… cue earthquake. EEK!

This is not what Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew RhysHallow Road, The Beast In Me) needs, since he’s bringing in a New York Times writer to the town, and wants good word to get out about the place, even recommending a series of ideal spots around the island for him to check out.

But then, one older man bumbles into the pub, declaring he thinks there’s a fog that’s going to kill people, with “The island has lain dormant, but now she’s waking up”… even though he looks like the sort of chap who he believes every conspiracy theory going.

Yet, while Tom’s son, Evan (Kingston Rumi SouthwickPresumed Innocent (2024)), is taking drugs, it feels like everyone else has down a few as well, as local Shep Clark (Tom KempCrisis In Six Scenes) collapses as he walks into the drinking establishment.

Hence, weird shit IS happening, and some of the living have become zombie-like! What is real and what is Memorex?

Well, Rhys is reliably good in this, but while Widow’s Bay is nonsense, it’s reasonably entertaining if you go with it.

Widow’s Bay is on Apple TV from today, but isn’t yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. If it is in future, it will be listed on the New DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K releases UK page.
