Wolf Pack – The DVDfever Review – Paramount+ – Sarah Michelle Gellar

Wolf Pack Wolf Pack is a new series on Paramount+ which launches at the same time as Teen Wolf: The Movie is unleashed. Similar themes, but how does it compare?

Well, it’s a different story for a start – since I was expecting links between the two, unless this is to be part of a new ‘Wolf’ universe and the two will crossover later, but they didn’t during the two episodes that I’ve seen so far.

We open with a ton of cars stuck on a road, going nowhere, because the forest they’re going through has been set on fire. One such vehicle is a school bus, including Everett Lang (Armani Jackson) and Blake Navarro (Bella Shepard). Come on, guys… who names these characters? If Blake was a man’s name in Dynasty, how come it’s a female name now? Same with Blake Lively, when in most films, she’s anything but!

But after altercations with whatever’s out there leading to – and the trailer also shows this – various kids being bitten, a number of them are in hospital, getting phone calls on their mobiles, telling them to get out, “It’s going to find you. It has to find you before the next full moon. It’s going to kill you.”

Arson around on set, Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the investigator, Kristin Ramsay, and Ms G is still insanely hot. However, It really does spend an awful long time getting absolutely nowhere, which led to me getting quite bored. As for whoever did the deed… I failed to care.

Thanks to our friends at Paramount+ for the screener prior to release.

Wolf Pack is not available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD, but is on Paramount+ from Thursday January 26th, showing weekly.
