Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens – Official Teaser Trailer #2 – Star Wars Movie HD

Star Wars Episode VII The Force AwakensStar Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens is due out in cinemas in December, and today sees the release of the second teaser trailer, just five months on from the first. Expect many more in the coming months.

This one features a crashed Star Destroyer, owned by Darth Vader! There’s Darth Vader’s crushed mask! There’s flying X-wings! There’s explosions! There’s shooting! And there’s Han Solo and Chewy!!!

Ever-present Andy Serkis will be one of the newbies, alongside John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o and the awesome Max von Sydow. They will all be alongside Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.

A cast photo was released in April 2014, and the full name of the film was also released late last year.

JJ Abrams will direct, but once again he’s been proved to be a cheap-ass, since while it’ll appear in 3D in the cinema, just like Star Trek Into Darkness, he’s filming it in 2D, and then doing a post-conversion into 3D. If you’re going to make it 3D, do so from the start!

The film will be written by Lawrence Kasdan and JJ Abrams, produced by Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk, and the composer, as ever, is John Williams.

Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens will be released at cinemas on December 18th 2015. Check out the new teaser trailer below and click on the poster for the full-size image:

I have to let my inner SW geek out here… It’s not an Executor class star destroyer, the only one of these we see in the fins fell into the Death Star in ROTJ… 🙂

  • Feel free to let your inner geek out 🙂 Which type of spaceship is it? I wasn’t 100% sure, but i’ll update it accordingly.

It is a Star Destroyer, but not the Executor class. They were much larger and have a white base trim, so appear different. They appear in Return of the Jedi, Vader’s own Executor SD crashing into the Death Star during the final battle. #geek

  • Cheers, Jo, that’s very much appreciated and I’ve just made the correction.
