24: Live Another Day sees the return of Kiefer Sutherland as renegade maverick ex-cop bloke Jack Bauer, running around, but this time round it’s just for 12 episodes instead of 24.
This time, Jack will see the day out in just 12 episodes rather than 24, which means the episodes won’t always go straight from one hour to the next. This will allow him time to fly from the US to London and continue the action there.
Now, yes, 24, in its heyday, did get long in the tooth and, literally, lose the plot sometimes, but it always had a certain something. After eight seasons, the time was right to call it a day. That said, I can’t wait for it to return!!
20th Century Fox have released the new “Flame teaser” which, at 14 seconds, is short and sweet, but… there’s lots of not a lot happening… DAMMIT!
24: Live Another Day starts on May 5th in the US and is due to air in the UK just afterwards on Sky 1, perhaps the day after. According to Epguides.com, the first two episodes will be broadcast back to back, starting the day at midday for two consecutive hours, while episode 3 will also follow straight on, time-wise.
Mary Lynn Rajskub returns as Chloe O’Brian, as do Kim Raver (Audrey Raines) and William Devane (James Heller), even though Audrey was practically a vegetable after her experience with Jack. Newcomers include Michael Wincott, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Giles Matthey, Yvonne Strahovski (Hannah McKay in Dexter), Benjamin Bratt and Tate Donovan from Hostages.
