After so many duff episodes this series, Flatline was a return to form. In fact, it’s the best episode of the series so far. Here’s hoping the last three episodes can maintain this before there’s a break until the Xmas episode.
We also had a return of Missy (Michelle Gomez) at the end who was watching our heroine on her tablet and observed: “Clara, my Clara. I *have* chosen well.” The series arc gets ever more strange. I just hope it doesn’t mean Jenna Coleman will be whisked away to the Promised Land at the end of the series. After all, she will have been in Doctor Who for just over two series, and it’s after about that time that talented actors and actresses move on. Just look at Karen Gillan’s career going from strength to strength, appearing in Hollywood films like old-school horror flick Oculus and fun futuristic-meets-retro sci-fi nonsense Guardians of the Galaxy.
Next time: Clara and the Doctor are running away from wolves and tigers, along with Danny and a group of annoying school children.
