Macbeth (Michael Fassbender, right), a duke of Scotland, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne for himself.
The film also stars Marion Cotillard, Jack Reynor, Elizabeth Debicki, David Thewlis, Sean Harris, Paddy Considine, David Hayman, and is directed by Justin Kurzel, based on a screenplay by Jacob Koskoff, Michael Lesslie, Todd Louiso, and originally written by some chap called William Shakespeare.
Macbeth is released in the UK October 2nd, and this sort of thing isn’t my bag, but it will be for a lot of people.
