Maleficent tells the tale of Sleeping Beauty, told from the perspective of the titular villain, played by Angelina Jolie, looking at the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse young Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning).
Also starring Juno Temple, Sharlto Copley, Brenton Thwaites, Peter Capaldi, Miranda Richardson, Imelda Staunton, Sam Riley and Lesley Manville, I thought I also saw Carey Mulligan in there too, but she’s not listed on IMDB, not even ‘uncredited’, so perhaps not.
Maleficient is released on May 30th in the UK, the same date as the US. Enjoy the trailer below:
